Wool needle for sewing in ends.

Tension

27 sts and 42 rows to 10cm over patt, using 3.25mm needles.

Blanket

Using 3.25mm circular needle, cast on 258 sts.
Note: A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts. Work backwards and forwards in rows, not rounds.
Knit 20 rows garter st.

Beg Patt

• 1st row: K2, yfwd, * K3, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K3, yfwd, K1, yfwd, rep from * to last 6 sts, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, K1.
• 2nd and alt rows: Purl.
• 3rd row: K3, yfwd, * K2, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K2, yfwd, K3, yfwd, rep from * to last 5 sts, K2, sl 1, K1, psso, K1.
• 5th row: K4, yfwd, * K1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K1, yfwd, K5, yfwd, rep from * to last 4 sts, K1, sl 1, K1, psso, K1.
• 7th row: K5, yfwd, * sl 1, K2tog, psso, yfwd, K7, yfwd, rep from * to last 3 sts, sl 1, K1, psso, K1.

Side Edging

Using 3.25mm circular needle, knit up 266 sts (or sts required to suit your Blanket length) along one side edge.
Knit 19 rows garter st.
Cast off.
Rep for other side edge.

Finishing

Sew in all ends.
