NEEDLES:
A pair of 4.50mm knitting needles.
A 4.50mm circular knitting needle, 80cm long.
A 4.50mm circular knitting needle, 40cm long.
Wool needle for sewing in ends.
REQUIREMENTS:
A stitch holder.
4 buttons.
TENSION:
18 sts and 26 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.50mm needles.
PONCHO
Front Rib Band:
Using a pair of 4.50mm needles and C1, cast on 70 (74-78-
86-94) sts.
1st row: K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
2nd row: P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Last 2 rows form rib.
3rd row: K2, P2tog, yon, rib to last 4 sts, yrn, P2tog, K2
… 2 buttonholes.
Work 3 rows rib.
7th row: K2, P2tog, yon, rib to last 4 sts, yrn, P2tog, K2
… 4 buttonholes.
Work 3 rows rib.
Break off yarn and leave sts on a stitch holder.
Back Rib Band:
Using a pair of 4.50mm needles and C1, cast on 70 (74-78-
86-94) sts.
Work 10 rows rib.
Don’t break off yarn.
Cast On For Sleeves:
Using 80cm long circular needle and C1, knit across sts from Back Rib Band, turn cast on 50 (54-62-74-82) sts, turn, knit across sts from Front Rib Band stitch holder, turn, cast on 50 (54-62-74-82) sts, turn … 240 (256-280-320-352) sts. Join sts in the round, taking care not to twist cast on edge.

Sew on buttons. Sew in all ends. Turn collar over in half.
Alternative Yarns
When substituting Lincraft Cuddles, choose a yarn that can achieve the pattern tension of 18 sts and 26 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.50mm needles.
