Finishing
Join sides using Invisible Vertical Seaming method; with the rib portion overlapping in the middle by approx 4cm, and join bottom and top edges with Invisible Horizontal Seaming method.
Fold bottom edge of ears to overlap so there are 3 seams to sew together onto the top edge of the cushion.
Make a POMPOM by wrapping yarn around 4 fingers until it is as thick as you want the pompom; cut the yarn and slip off your fingers, and with a separate piece of yarn wrap it around the centre of the bundle and tie into a knot. Trim the ends of the pompom into a round shape.
Attach the pompom to the two rib parts of the cushion to hold it closed.
