How to Make Pipecleaner Bunnies

Create a collection of colourful Easter bunnies using wooden beads and chenille sticks. This easy craft uses simple threading, twisting and shaping techniques, making it a fun activity for children and families.

What You Will Need

Materials

• Large wooden bead
• Medium wooden bead
• Small wooden bead
• 2 chenille sticks

Create the Tail and Body

1. Thread the small wooden bead onto the centre of one chenille stick.
2. Twist the chenille stick once beside the bead to hold it securely in place. This small bead will form the bunny’s tail.
3. Thread both ends of the chenille stick through the large wooden bead to create the body.
4. Continue threading both ends through the medium wooden bead to form the bunny’s head.

Shape the Bunny Ears

1. Use the remaining chenille stick above the head to create two long loops.
2. Shape the loops into bunny ears.
3. Tuck the loose ends into the top of the head bead to secure them.

Create the Feet

1. Take the second chenille stick and shape it into two equal loops.
2. Twist the loops together at the centre to hold their shape.
3. Wrap the centre of the chenille stick around the space between the tail and the body.
4. Adjust the loops so they sit flat and form the bunny’s feet.
