What You Will Need

Materials

  • Lincraft Cotton 8ply Yarn
  • Two Colour Bag:
    • Colour 1 (C1) – 4 x 50g balls
    • Colour 2 (C2) – 2 x 50g balls
  • One Colour Bag:
    • 6 x 50g balls of one colour
  • Extra yarn for fringe (approximately 141 strands of 62cm each or desired length)

Alternative Yarns

Construction Overview

Assemble the Bag

  1. Lay the two squares together in a diamond shape with the wrong sides facing.

  3. Fold each triangle in half and place one on each side of the square panels.
  4. Sew one side of each triangle to the front square.
  5. Sew the remaining sides to the back square.
Assembly tip: Lay all pieces flat before sewing to check the placement and ensure both sides of the bag match evenly.

Create the Top Edging

  1. Join yarn at one side of the bag opening.
  2. Work a row of double crochet evenly around the opening.

Create the Strap
