NEEDLES:
A pair of 4.00mm knitting needles.
Wool needle for sewing up.
REQUIREMENTS:
A pom pom maker (optional – available from Lincraft).
TENSION:
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
BEANIE
Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 86 (90-94-98) sts.
1st row: K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
2nd row: P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Last 2 rows form 2x2 rib.
Cont in 2x2 rib until work measures 16 (19-21-25) cm from
beg, working last row on wrong side.
Shape Crown:
1st row: K2tog, * P2, K2tog, rep from * to end ... 64
(67-70-73) sts.
2nd row: P1, * K2, P1, rep from * to end.
3rd row: K1, * P2, K1, rep from * to end.
4th row: P1, * K2, P1, rep from * to end.
5th row: K1, * P2tog, K1, rep from * to end ... 43 (45-
47-49) sts.
6th row: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.
7th row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.
8th row: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.
9th row: K1, * K2tog, rep from * to end ... 22 (23-24-25)
sts.
10th row: Purl.
11th row: K0 (1-0-1), * K2tog, rep from * to end ... 11

Break off yarn, run end through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.
FINISHING
