Alternative Yarns
When substituting Lincraft Cuddles, choose a yarn that can achieve the pattern tension of 18 sts and 26 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.50mm needles.
Suitable alternatives may include soft yarns with a similar thickness, elasticity and drape. Because the blanket uses three colours, choose yarns with comparable fibre content and construction so the fabric remains consistent throughout the stripe pattern.
Customisation Ideas
- Choose three coordinating colours for a soft striped effect.
- Use three high-contrast colours to make the stripe pattern more pronounced.
- Work the moss stitch edges in a contrasting colour to frame the blanket.
- Adjust the finished length by working more or fewer rows of the stripe pattern.
- Use tonal shades of the same colour for a subtle graduated look.
Care Instructions
Follow the care instructions provided on the yarn label used for the project. Wash gently using a method suitable for the selected fibre and reshape while damp.
Dry flat where recommended to help maintain the moss stitch edges, striped fabric and overall dimensions. Store folded to avoid unnecessary stretching, and ensure the blanket is completely dry before use or storage.
