Please use only the yarn specified. Another yarn is likely to yield different results. Quantities are approximate as knitting styles may vary between knitters. Check the ball bands to ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot.
NEEDLES:
A 4.00mm circular knitting needle, 80cm.
A 4.50mm circular knitting needle, 100cm.
A stitch holder.
Wool needle or crochet hook for sewing in ends.
TENSION:
16.5 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.50mm needles.
KNITTING ABBREVIATIONS:
- K: Knit
- K2tog: Knit 2 Together
- Kfb: K1 into the fr of the next stitch on the needle but do not slide the stitch off, K1 into the bk of the same stitch on the needle and slide the stitch off the needle
- P: Purl
PULLOVER
This pattern is written for our M-L sized pullover, all other stitch counts and sizes are written in the brackets for easy reference and are as follows M-L (S-M)
SLEEVE
Using 4.00mm circular knitting needles cast on 56 (46) sts and work 5 cm of 2x2 rib. This is the cuff of one of the sleeves.
Working in stocking st using 4.50mm circular knitting needle, inc 1 st at each edge on every alt row until piece measures 35 cm ... 118 (108) sts
Cast on 3 sts at the beginning of each of the next 14 rows, then 4 sts at the beg of the next 8 rows ... 192 (182) sts
BODY & NECK
Continue working without shaping until piece measures 60 (55) cm.
Now divide the piece with 96 (91) sts on front piece and 96 (91) sts on back piece. Sl sts for front piece onto a stitch holder and continue working on back piece in stocking st. Cast off at the beg of each row at the neckline edge on every alt row, 3 sts once and 2 st three (two) times ... 87 (84) sts rem
Continue working without shaping until work measures 85 (70) cm from the beginning of the work ending on a knit row. On these same sts, cast on 2 sts at the beg of every alt row at the neck three (two) times, and then cast on 3 sts at the neckline edge once... 96 (91) sts
Slip all sts in work onto a stitch holder and slip the 96 (91) sts for front piece back on needle. Cast off at neckline edge at the beg of every alt row, 5 sts once then 3 sts three (two) times ... 82 (80) sts
Continue working without shaping until piece measures 85 (70) cm.
On these same sts, cast on 3 sts at the neck on the beg of every alt row three (two) times, and then cast on 5 sts at the neckline edge once ... 96 (91) sts
Sl all 192 sts back onto your working needles. Continue working without shaping until the piece measures the same width as the other half ... 106 (86) cm approx.
SECOND SLEEVE
Cast off sts at each side at the beg of every row, 4 sts 4 times for each side, then 3 sts over 7 rows for each side... 118 (108) sts
Dec by 1 st at each edge on every alt row until there are 56 (46) sts left. Change to 4.00mm needles and work 5cm of 2x2 rib. Cast off in rib.
FINISHING
Pick up 100 (60) sts around the neckline using the 4.00mm circular knitting needles and work 30 cm in 2x 2 rib and cast off in rib.
Join the sleeve and side seams together by using either a crocheted chain stitch or mattress stitch. Pick up approx 140 (100) sts along bottom edge of jumper using circular needle size 4.50mm and work 18 cm in 2x2 rib and cast off.
Weave in all ends. With the steam on your iron, very lightly on a low setting, steam the garment to relax the stitches. Test the settings on your tension swatch first, please note that if you use too high of a temperature, the yarn will warp and will lose its plush effect.

Alternative Yarns
When substituting Ficio Luscious Chenille, choose a yarn that can achieve the pattern tension of 16.5 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.50mm needles.
Suitable alternatives may include other plush chenille yarns or soft yarns with a similar thickness and drape. Because the pullover relies on an oversized, flowing construction, the substitute yarn should create a soft fabric that hangs well without becoming excessively heavy.
Customisation Ideas
- Adjust the body length before working the lower ribbing for a shorter or longer finished pullover.
- Work the pullover in a solid neutral shade for a versatile oversized garment.
- Choose a rich jewel tone or soft pastel chenille for a different seasonal look.
- Use a contrasting colour for the oversized turtleneck, cuffs and lower ribbing.
- Adjust the turtleneck length before casting off to create a shorter collar or a deeper fold-over neckline.
Care Instructions
Follow the care instructions provided on the yarn label used for the project. Chenille yarns can be sensitive to heat and agitation, so use a gentle washing method suitable for the selected fibre.
Reshape the pullover while damp and dry flat where recommended. When steaming, use a very low setting and test the heat on a tension swatch first. Excessive heat may warp the yarn or damage its plush effect. Store folded rather than hanging to help prevent the oversized garment from stretching.
