This blanket is made up of 12 squares, made in a easy knit and purl pattern. It is reversable and you can adapt the size by adding more squares to the width or the length. Each square uses up approximately 1 ball of wool. Tassels are added to the corners to add a nice finish.

Finishing

Line 3 squares horizontally, and 4 squares vertically as per the diagram below.

Modernist Blanket assembly diagram: 3 squares across, 4 squares down, with tassels at the four corners

Sew together using wool needle.

Tassels

Cut x21 of 60cm threads of Hygge Twist Yarn.

Group 20 threads together and fold them at the centre/
Thread the 21st thread through a corner of the blanket and use this thread to tie a tight knot at the centre of the tassel threads.

Pinch the threads together, so there are now 40 strands.

Wind that cord about 4cm below the threads to make a tassel neck.

Wrap tightly around the tassel and make a knot.
