How to Use Reusable Christmas Wraps
Wrap Christmas gifts without disposable paper by using a square of festive fabric. Reusable wraps can be folded and tied in several ways, then kept and used again for future celebrations.

What You Will Need
Materials
- One square reusable fabric wrap
- A gift that fits comfortably within the fabric
Before You Begin
Place the gift in the centre of the wrap and check that the fabric extends beyond all four sides. A larger wrap will make the knots easier to tie and create fuller decorative ends.
Style 1: Double-Knot Wrap
- Lay the fabric diagonally with the patterned side facing down.
- Place the gift in the centre of the fabric.
- Bring one corner and the opposite corner together over the gift.
- Tie the two corners securely in a double knot.
- Bring the two remaining corners together and tie another double knot.
- Fluff and arrange the loose fabric ends to create a decorative finish.
Style 2: Fold-and-Tie Wrap
- Lay the fabric diagonally with the patterned side facing down.
- Place the gift in the centre.
- Fold one corner of the wrap over the gift.
- Fold the opposite corner over the first layer.
- Bring the two remaining corners together over the gift.
- Tie them securely in a double knot.
- Adjust the folds and knot until the gift is fully covered.
Helpful Tips
Smooth-sided boxes are the easiest items to wrap. For irregularly shaped gifts, choose a larger piece of fabric and gather the corners above the item.
Include a small note encouraging the recipient to reuse the fabric for another gift.
